LG G Watch R is first wearable device to have P-OLED display

It was meant to be one of the big unveils of IFA 2014—that smartwatch contender the likes of Motorola and Apple need to look out for. But now, it's official anyway. The LG G Watch R is the world’s first watch-style wearable device to feature a full circle Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display that uses 100 percent of its circular screen.

The display produces stunning image clarity even under bright sunlight and superb clarity when viewed from any angle. On the beef side, its powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, with 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, and a 410mAh battery. With a circular watch face, stainless-steel frame, and interchangeable 22mm calf skin leather strap, we have to admit the LG G Watch R looks enticing. Plus, it’s a toughie, having an Ingress Protection Rating of IP67, and designed to run for up to 30 minutes in one meter of water.

LG says the G Watch R will be available in key markets early in the fourth quarter of 2014. To see more of the device, click through the gallery below. (By T3 Middle East)
